i’ve been working out consistently for the past… month. that’s really good for me, considering i like to use my free time to bum around and bake for others.
but i struggle with what i should be eating after a workout, because i don’t want anything too heavy. i also don’t want anything that’s not enough.
i’ve thought about getting a juicer, but i just don’t have the moneys for that right now. in lieu of juicing, i’ve decided to take up making smoothies. i’m hoping to get more creative as time passes.
for now, the basics.
what do you eat after a workout?
strawberry mango smoothie
printable recipe – yield 2 cups
1 mango, peeled and cubed
5 strawberries, cleaned and greenage removed
splash of orange mango juice*
2 spoonfuls of vanilla greek yogurt
*if you don’t have orange mango juice, i think plain mango juice would work well here.
combine all ingredients together in a blender or with an immersion blender until smooth. drink.
